The half that was always writing

Long before the papers there was a book, a learning path, a translated curriculum and checklists, all free.

Free, and still up

None of it is gated, none of it is for sale, and the oldest piece has been up for years.

Made for other developers

Written before any of it could be called a practice, and still the most-read thing here.

a practical roadmap to sustainable software the GreenOps book articles, videos, books and exercises by career stage dev-learning-path teachyourselfcs, translated into Italian TeachYourselfCS-IT what code should have to pass an interview challenge code-challenge-review-checklist management tools shelved by when you need them manager's quick reference

There were products before these, between 2015 and 2020, and a London startup that carried this name with a team of three. None of them are here, which is the point: what changed is not the appetite for building things, it is what happens afterwards. One of those attempts queued a URL, spidered a site, analysed what came back and aggregated it into a score, the same pipeline gandalf and gradebook now run over a repository. The instinct is a decade older than anything else on this site. The difference is that the answer now gets measured, written up, and released with the instrument attached.

Working on this?

Tell me what you are looking at and I will tell you honestly whether any of this helps. No pitch attached, and the papers are free either way.
